Our Foundation Creative Studies – Knitting programme is a 120-hour, year long supported self-study programme you can complete in your own time.
The Foundation programme is accredited by City & Guilds as an affiliate centre of Artybird Carnforth.
Debbie will be teaching this exciting new programme which will be available to study via distance learning so you can learn from the comfort of your own home at a time and pace to suit you. There’s no pressure and Debbie will be there to assist and guide you throughout your learning journey.
The Foundation programme is ideal for anyone who wishes to study their craft area in depth, which could be for personal interest or for professional development. You may have attended a number of workshops, or done an introductory programme and are now ready to progress, integrating design alongside good craft skills to develop as a designer-maker or pattern designer.
For those students who would like to gain formal accreditation, the Foundation programme also offers you the opportunity to submit your work for accreditation for a professional qualification through City & Guilds.
We are beavering away to get the Foundation programme ready. In the meantime, for more information about what’s involved, what you can expect to learn, fees and timeframes, we are preparing a short prospectus which has all the details and will be available shortly. In the meantime you are welcome to email or call us with any questions.
Sign-ups for the Foundation programme will open on 20 December with the first intake beginning on 10th January.
If you would like to enrol or have any questions, please complete the contact form below. We hope to hear from you soon!
