Making Futures works with a wide range of community groups, schools, colleges and third sector organisations to deliver creative arts sessions with an emphasis on health, development and wellbeing. We also work with businesses to offer team building, CSR, charitable and social activities.

We are an accredited centre for Arts Award and can deliver or co-develop Bronze and Silver level projects. We can also work with you to develop an Artsmark learning programme, tailored to suit your needs.

Community and social

Examples of sessions we can offer include:

  • We can help to set up a regular group, deliver one-off sessions, offer after-school or extra-curricular activities. We can also offer additional coursework support, particularly useful for students who want to take their studies outside the regular curriculum and where specialist expertise would be beneficial.

  • Heritage Dyers – setting up a self-sustaining natural dye group
  • Community dye garden – planning, design and co-0rdinating the planting and maintenance of a natural dye garden with adults with additional learning needs
  • Inspiring the future – mentor and careers support for schools, colleges and FE establishments on careers in the creative arts and careers in self-employment
  • Careers in the Creative Arts – Manchester City Council – hand-weaving and finger knitting
  • Indigo dyed totes – after school club project for Leeds City Museums community engagement team
  • Urban explorers – natural dyeing sessions for Manchester Museums

Team-building, CSR and charitable projects

Is your business keen to engage with the local community? Are you interested in encouraging staff to get together, foster team spirit and maybe work with local charities? We can work with you to put together activities or events that can raise funds to support local groups, company-sponsored charities or social causes. If you’d simply like to arrange a team-building, wellbeing event or just say thanks for your hard work, we can help with that too!
